About The Position

North Wasco County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant High School Boys' Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 school year. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills that exemplify moral character consistent with being a positive role model for high school students.
  • Knowledge of high school sports programs at the high school level, including recent rule changes.
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
  • District drug screening clearance.
  • BBP Training.
  • NFHS Coaches Certification or ASEP Certification.
  • ASEP Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Vector Trainings.
  • Satisfactory results of drug screening tests for any illegal drug or substance classified in Schedules I through V under the Federal Controlled Substances Act.
  • Satisfactory results of criminal history verification (background check).

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree Preferred.
  • Bilingual/Bi-Cultural applicants are highly desirable and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive leadership and organization to the Head Coach in athletic programs for grades 9-12.
  • Support an environment where student/athletes can gain self-esteem and develop a positive self-image.
  • Promote sportsmanship, a winning attitude, and commitment to student academic success.
  • Develop a system of participation that can be effectively communicated with assistants for implementation in grades 9-12.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes and parents.
  • Organize and manage students' time effectively.
  • Use problem-solving strategies consistently.
  • Adjust to performing practices in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
