About The Position

This position is responsible to the Athletic Director and/or a head coach, providing coaching, development, and supervisory responsibilities for the athletic program. Compensation for this position is contingent upon the specific athletic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year. The role involves communicating high expectations for athlete behavior, developing positive relationships with stakeholders, and fostering individual and team growth. The coach will plan daily, weekly, monthly, and annual character development for athletes and produce detailed practice plans to advance individual skills and strategy development. The position requires supervising all facilities and athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions.

Requirements

ASEP Certification - American Sport Education Program
CHSAA Certification - Colorado High School Activities Association
High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent
NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification - National Federation of State High Schools
Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education
Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
Ability to be flexible and patient in work demands

Regularly pursues appropriate professional learning activities
Rosters, transportation requests, certifications are handed in prior to deadlines.
Supervises all facilities and athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions
