About The Position

The Assistant Boys Soccer Coach will assist the Varsity Soccer Coach and Athletic Director in the promotion of the Bridgman Boys Soccer Program within Bridgman High School as well as throughout the community of Bridgman. This role involves adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures in compliance with Bridgman Public Schools, the SAC Conference, and the MHSAA. The coach will provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes, including counseling team members on academic, disciplinary, and personal matters when appropriate. Responsibilities also include monitoring eligibility, promoting academic progress, assisting with equipment management, developing and conditioning players, compiling season statistics and reports, and cooperating with other coaches to enhance athletic department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Varsity Soccer Coach and Athletic Director in the promotion of the Bridgman Boys Soccer Program.
  • Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures in compliance with Bridgman Public Schools, the SAC Conference, and the MHSAA.
  • Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes.
  • Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary, and personal matters, when appropriate.
  • Monitor the eligibility status and promote the academic progress of student-athletes.
  • Assist in overseeing the selection, purchase, fitting, and maintenance of team equipment, including uniforms, athletic equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and condition players in and out of season per MHSAA regulations, while allowing precedence for other in-season sports.
  • Compile season statistics, reports, and summaries as required by the Bridgman Athletic Department.
  • Cooperate with all coaches within the Bridgman High School coaching staff to enhance overall athletic department operations.
