About The Position

This is an extra duty position for an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach at Bosse High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The primary function is to develop and implement an exemplary athletic program that provides the highest quality education and growth opportunities for every student athlete. The role involves ensuring compliance with school policies, working cooperatively with staff, relating positively to parents and community, demonstrating professional growth, completing records and reports accurately, demonstrating proficiency in English, accepting responsibilities beyond the team setting, assuming responsibility for care of materials, equipment, and facilities, and ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Instructional responsibilities include fostering positive interactions among student-athletes, building supportive relationships with the school and community, demonstrating enthusiasm for coaching and learning, promoting self-direction and self-motivation in students, and creating clearly defined standards of behavior and academic performance. Subject matter expertise includes comprehensive knowledge of the sport, effective instruction, and adapting strategy to student needs. Planning involves developing and sustaining an organized athletic program with long-term planning and utilizing diverse strategies and resources. Techniques and delivery include clearly conveying coaching expectations, explaining their significance, utilizing appropriate coaching techniques and learning activities, and maintaining a system for monitoring student progress.

Requirements

Prior coaching experience preferred.

Clearly convey fundamental coaching expectations to student athletes and explain their significance for personal, athletic, and academic growth.
Utilize appropriate and varied coaching techniques and learning activities.
Maintain an effective system of monitoring student progress and to inform appropriate persons.
