About The Position

This position serves as the Head JV Coach and also assists at the Varsity level. The role involves managing all aspects of the high school program, including the off-season program, tryouts, and practice schedules. The coach will support the head coach in developing a strong program focused on relationships and results, maintain regular communication with parents/families, and track the academic progress of student athletes to ensure eligibility. The position also requires cooperation with other school-sponsored sports, coordination with the local youth program, and engagement with local media and community support groups.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Head JV Coach and assist at the Varsity level.
  • Manage all aspects of the high school program including off-season program, tryouts, practice schedules and routines.
  • Support the head coach in development of a strong program, built on relationships and results.
  • Provide regular communication with parents/families.
  • Regularly track the academic progress of all student athletes in the program and facilitate necessary support systems to ensure their academic eligibility.
  • Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports and encourage athletes to compete in other programs.
  • Assist Head Coach in developing and implementing an off-season program for athletics.
  • Help coordinate with the local youth program below the 9th grade level.
  • Work with local media as needed and establish strong working relationships with community support groups.
