About The Position
Sheppard Pratt School in Hunt Valley is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5 to 21. Our tailored programs cater to students with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments, ensuring each student receives the support they need to thrive. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience.
- Associate degree and 2 years of related experience.
- High school degree or GED and 4 years of related experience.
- Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle: Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Driving record with 2 points or less for the most 3 recent years of driving history.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
- Collecting and accurately recording data on client behavior during intervention sessions.
- Assisting in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
- Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
- Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
