About The Position

The Assistant Baseball Coach at Century High School supports the Hillsboro School District’s athletic objectives, interscholastic athletics policies, and Athletic Code. The District views extracurricular activities as an integral part of school life and encourages all students, regardless of ability, to participate and grow physically, intellectually, and socially. Coaches organize and conduct athletic programs to meet the needs of the District and participants.

Requirements

• Experience in and/or knowledge of baseball or the sport, coaching techniques, and student supervision.
• Ability and willingness to communicate effectively in verbal and written modes with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and other school staff.
• Ability and willingness to perform coaching responsibilities in accordance with school and District procedures and policies.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current Concussion Management training and other trainings required by the OSAA.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information relating to students, staff, or District patrons.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and collaborate on solutions to concerns.
• Successfully pass a background check.
