About The Position
Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for working, as directed, with the Head Coach toward the planning and execution of a successful program. This position ensures the program works within NCAA, The Metro Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with all facets of the baseball program
- Assisting with pitching, hitting, defensive and/or other skill instruction
- Assisting with off-field responsibilities, including but not limited to recruiting, strategic planning, scouting reports, equipment maintenance and baseball analytics
- Monitoring the academic progress of its student-athletes
- Supporting community engagement and player leadership development initiatives
- Assisting with practice planning and execution (including BP, fungo hitting, etc.)
- Overseeing other administrative job responsibilities, delegating as appropriate to the Director of Baseball Operations and student managers
