Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of banquet leadership experience required.
- High school diploma required; 4-year degree in hospitality preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with food and beverage financial systems.
- Proficient in Excel and capable of using moderately complex systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and tour for extended periods.
- Pleasant, courteous demeanor is essential.
- Ability to work in both office and active food and beverage environments.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality food, beverage, and service standards in all banquet areas.
- Assist with managing and coordinating staff activities, overseeing training and departmental responsibilities.
- Collaborate with food production to meet banquet service needs.
- Communicate effectively across departments to fulfill guest expectations and maintain strong guest relations.
- Assist with management of labor, costs, and expenses within budget and forecast guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records, inventories, and banquet function checks.
- Assist the Banquet Director with leading departmental meetings and attend various hotel-related meetings.
- Uphold housekeeping, maintenance, and sanitation standards to preserve the hotel's image.
- Enforce hotel policies, union contract guidelines, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Hire, train, and assess staff performance while fostering positive employee relations.
- Performs special projects as requested.
