About The Position

As an Assistant Banquet Manager, you would assist in overseeing the front-of-house execution for events, and would ensure that policies and procedures align with service standards SentryWorld located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin is currently seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to help lead our Events & Banquets team. As an assistant banquet manager, you would be responsible for organizing and executing banquet operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. What You’ll Do As an Assistant Banquet Manager, you will: Assist the Banquet Manager in leading the staff and operations of the Banquet Department to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of Banquet rooms and functions, and the optimal dining experience of all Banquet function guests. Responsible for leading individual shifts and completing managerial duties of those shifts Communicate with clients to understand their event needs and preferences, ensuring all guest needs and requirements are met or exceeded Attend and participate in all departmental meetings (e.g., Daily Stand Up, BEO, Pre-Cons, Staff, Forecast, Department and Intradepartmental Work with Banquet Manager to forecasts labor needs and develop weekly staffing schedules. Monitor and maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed. Performs regular maintenance review of all function spaces by performing walkthroughs, entering maintenance requests, and ensuring all maintenance requests are completed as ordered. Supervise banquet staff, providing direction and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to service standards. Trains and certifies all team members. Review quarterly Meeting Planner Survey and participates in the development and implementation of corrective action to address service challenges; focuses on continuous improvement of guest satisfaction. Administer human resource-related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and ensures all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices. Selects, develops, motivates, and recognizes staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience in an upscale or luxury hotel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain country alcohol sales operator’s license
  • Ability to effectively organize and present information, interpret and anticipate client’s needs and develop proposals that meet their needs
