About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Hawaii’s largest locally owned grocery retailer, is hiring an Assistant Bakery Manager to join their team. This is an hourly position, and they offer a comprehensive benefits package. The essential duties and responsibilities include performing all duties of an experienced Bakery Clerk, following approved procedures for receiving product, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation. They will also follow all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability for maximum sales. The Assistant Bakery Manager will assist customers, properly merchandise products in display cases, and price them correctly according to company standards. Additionally, Assistant Bakery Managers will assume the responsibility of the Bakery Manager in their absence.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds
- Must pass physical test
- Must have at least 1 year experience in bakery department operations
- Must have Tuberculosis Clearance required or Willing to take test upon offer.
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
- Language: Speak/Read/Write - English
- Applicant should be able to reliably commute to work on time.
- Must have open availability for various shifts as needed.

- Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps.
