About The Position

An opportunity exists on our highly accomplished culinary team. The selected candidate will have responsibility for implementing all elements of daily bakery and pastry production providing a high quality, cost effective in-house product, which complements the menus and adds value to the dining services operation.

Requirements

  • 6 months baking experience in full service bakery, restaurant, hotel, store, etc.
  • Possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handlers certification, as required.
  • Basic working knowledge of production methods such as: icing cakes, pie crust, ganache, tempering, mixing techniques, pastry cream, dessert sauces, etc.
  • Has basic knowledge of all baking and pastry products to ensure daily production is achieved.
  • Capable of operating all forms of baking equipment.
  • Ability to understand and produce commercial production recipes, as provided.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to include recipe conversations, food cost and inventories.

  • Experience in healthy and wellness cooking i.e. fat free, sugar free, low sodium
