About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Requirements

Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work through change and be flexible.
Schedule availability to work afternoons/nights.
Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person!)
Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus!

Responsibilities

Baking artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads.
Following recipes and paying close attention to details.
Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more.
Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
Working through change and being flexible.
Adhering to food handler and sanitation standards.
