The Missouri Attorney General's Office is seeking attorneys with excellent credentials for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Antitrust, Multistate, and Privacy Unit of the Consumer Protection Section. This section handles complex and high-profile civil litigation and criminal prosecutions. The Antitrust, Multistate, and Privacy Unit enforces state and national laws regarding competition, consumer protection, and data security in cooperation with other state attorneys general and/or federal enforcement partners. The antitrust work involves enforcement of the federal Sherman and Clayton Acts as well as the Missouri Antitrust Law, including investigations and litigation to challenge unlawful monopolization, conspiracies in restraint of trade, and the review of mergers with a substantial Missouri impact. The privacy work involves enforcement of Missouri's data breach notification laws and the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, as well as various federal statutes like HIPAA and COPPA. The position may involve intermittent daytime or overnight travel within Missouri.
