About The Position

The State of Ohio is seeking an experienced and licensed Assistant Attorney General for an opening in the Charitable Law Section. The successful candidate will have a passion for public service, a demonstrated commitment to protecting the unprotected, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. This position requires strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills, the ability to articulate complex legal matters, and creativity and innovation. The position will operate on a hybrid in-person/remote schedule, with potential changes based on training and operational needs, and will be headquartered in one of the Ohio offices: Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo, or Cincinnati. Requirements

  • Experienced and licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
  • Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex legal matters.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated commitment to protecting the unprotected.
  • Must have been in their current positions for at least 12 months to be eligible for consideration (internal applicant requirement).
  • Selected candidate(s) will be subject to background checks: Criminal history, Driving record, Taxes, Drug Test, and an Internet search.
