The Oregon Department of Justice is seeking applicants for an attorney position in the Civil Recovery Section of the Civil Enforcement Division. This position will be based in our Salem office, with opportunities to work in our Portland or Eugene offices, plus additional opportunities for remote work. The Civil Recovery Section represents all state agencies, boards, and commissions in civil litigation, probate, collections and bankruptcy proceedings. The successful applicant will represent state agencies in a wide variety of litigation in which the state is a plaintiff, including litigation involving: Contracts and Grant Agreement Disputes, Damage to State Property, Environmental Contamination, Fraud and Overpayments, Injunctive Relief, Probate (including estates, guardianships and conservatorships), Real Property Disputes (including foreclosures, ejectments and quiet title litigation), Receiverships, and Wildfire litigation.
