About The Position
Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer, to begin immediately. This is a full-time, 10-month position, reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in athletic training or related field preferred, Bachelor’s degree accepted
- Must possess a Board of Certification, Inc. endorsement as a certified athletic trainer
- Commonwealth of Virginia License as an athletic trainer (or eligible)
- Certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Must demonstrate commitment to excellence in athletic healthcare
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in collegiate football and or men’s lacrosse is preferred
- Desire to work closely with CAATE graduate athletic training students
- Demonstrate leadership, effective communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical athletic training services for any of the more than 600 NCAA Division III athletes in the Bridgewater College intercollegiate sports program.
- Act as a preceptor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE) accredited graduate athletic training program.
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or the Associate Director of Athletics.
