Assistant Athletic Trainer
About The Position
Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Athletics, Sports Medicine invites applicants for the position of Associate Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine with all aspects of Sports Medicine including injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning. Also, organize and administer day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities including, but not limited to, maintaining medical records, supply inventory, coordination of sports medicine insurance and billing, management of athletic secondary accident policy, staff communication regarding international student policies, purchasing, and assist in supervision of graduate assistants and clinically instruct undergraduate athletic training students in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited university.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work nights/weekends as necessary.
Responsibilities

- Handle staff communication regarding international student policies.
- Manage purchasing.
- Assist in supervision of graduate assistants.
- Clinically instruct undergraduate athletic training students in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program.
