The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs. The program is concerned with the physical and mental welfare of he student and strives to ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to succeed academically and obtain a degree. Sports programs are a vital function of the University at large. The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Director of Sports Medicine/ Head Athletic Trainer and Senior Associate Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting in the direction of all aspects of the athletic training Program. This position exists to coordinate the prevention, management and rehabilitation of athletic injuries Sustained by student-athletes in all 15 varsity sport programs, serving as the primary athletic trainer for Softball and Swim & Dive.
