About The Position

American Heritage School is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director who is passionate about athletics and helping students grow physically, spiritually, socially, and intellectually. This is an hourly position, up to 18 hours per week. The role is considered a faith-forming position within the school, and the assistant athletic director is expected to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with the Mission and values of AHS and the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The position requires candidates to be professional in appearance and demeanor and willing to serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Personal conduct, public statements, and online presence are expected to reflect and support the school's religious mission and educational purpose. Employment at AHS requires alignment with and support of the school's religious mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Training coaches on culture and policies
• Ordering uniforms
• Scheduling games and practices

• On-site game supervision

• Assisting parents and students with questions
• Integrating faith-based principles and moral reasoning into athletics administration where appropriate
• Serving as an example of Christian character and discipleship to students
• Supporting and upholding the spiritual mission of the school through daily interactions with students and colleagues
• Responding thoughtfully to student questions related to faith, values, and moral decision-making in a manner consistent with the school's mission
