About The Position

Learfield Amplify, representing over 70 collegiate athletic departments and professional sports teams, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director, Revenue Generation, to lead its ticket sales team for Southern Methodist University. This role is responsible for training, mentoring, motivating, and coaching the revenue generation staff, as well as developing and implementing revenue initiatives to meet or exceed annual sales goals. The position integrates fully within the department and community, focusing on outreach and access to all ticket types to grow involvement and revenue generation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience within collegiate and/or professional sports, including 2+ years of experience in a ticket sales management role.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Results-oriented leader with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams and drive revenue performance.
  • Proven track record of success in revenue generation and achieving sales goals.
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into effective execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paciolan and/or Ticketmaster/Archtics ticketing systems preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and sales platforms such as ACT, Salesforce, SSB, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Conquer, Outreach, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee revenue generation efforts across ticket sales, new donor acquisition, customer service, premium seating, hospitality, and other revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Lead the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of revenue generation staff.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance to revenue generation staff.
  • Lead regular staff meetings and foster collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of ideas focused on revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Develop and maintain a personal portfolio of ticket sales prospects and customers.
  • Develop, manage, and execute an annual Revenue Generation plan and budget in partnership with appropriate staff and senior management, encompassing sales, retention, and revenue growth across customer segments.
  • Effectively manage group assets, experiences, and inventory to maximize group ticket sales and revenue at all home games.
  • Prepare timely and accurate sales reports and performance analyses to monitor individual and team progress, identify trends and opportunities, and ensure appropriate sales pacing to achieve established goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage relationships with outside vendors and corporate partners related to group ticket sales, hospitality, and premium experiences.
  • Partner closely with university athletic department marketing staff to develop and execute promotional initiatives designed to increase attendance, engagement, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the national Data Analytics team on CRM and database initiatives, including data collection, analytics, reporting, and marketing strategies designed to identify opportunities and generate incremental revenue.
