About The Position

The Assistant Athletics Director, Equipment Services provides leadership and strategic oversight for the equipment and apparel operations supporting Notre Dame's non-football programs. This role is responsible for the ordering, distribution, and retrieval of Under Armour apparel and accessories for 25 athletic teams and numerous auxiliary groups, with a primary focus on supporting multiple Olympic sport programs. The position serves as a key liaison to Notre Dame's Under Armour representatives, manages a multi-million-dollar apparel inventory, and leads the Equipment and Apparel Services staff. Additionally, this role supports postseason awards, collaborates with the Monogram Club, assists with game-management preparations, and partners with team operations personnel and student managers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in athletics administration, business, sports management, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in athletic equipment operations, athletics administration, apparel operations, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing staff, including assigning work, establishing priorities, coaching performance, and fostering a service-oriented team environment.
  • Proven strategic leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with coaches, student-athletes, athletics administrators, vendors, and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive or time-critical operational matters.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and postseason events, as athletics operations require.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and apparel and perform the physical requirements associated with athletics equipment operations.
