About The Position

We are seeking an engaged, organized, and self-driven Assistant/Associate Scientist to support Manufacturing Science & Technology within Aseptic & Microbial Process Control Sciences. This role will perform microbiology laboratory testing and evaluate microbial growth characteristics in support of clinical and commercial technology transfer projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or equivalent STEM field.
  • 1–3 years of laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of microbiology, cell culture, or biochemistry laboratory techniques.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
  • Strong detail orientation and good organizational skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Ability to perform microbiology testing such as bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing.
  • Ability to document test results and write test reports.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Laboratory work without blood or animal materials.
  • Position handles hazardous materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills in AI/digital solutions.
  • Experience using standard and computerized laboratory equipment, including electronic lab notebook systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic microbiology testing, including bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing, using aseptic technique.
  • Execute laboratory tests according to approved protocols and procedures.
  • Utilize standard and computerized laboratory equipment such as an electronic lab notebook.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, clean equipment, and support preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage laboratory supplies.
  • Support documentation activities, including documenting test results, writing test reports, and authoring final reports as needed.
  • Draft, review, and approve technical documents related to technology transfers.
  • Support microbial-characteristics testing for network buffers as part of a gap assessment.
  • Support development of electronic checklists for sterility and microbial-control activities.
