The faculty level position is a 12-month position within Pharmaceutical Sciences on the UAMS main campus in Little Rock. Non-modified faculty member appointments participate in the three mission areas of teaching, service, and research and are expected to be good academic citizens. The faculty member will teach and develop pharmacy educational materials in one or more of the following areas: physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetics, and pharmaceutics. The faculty appointment will be in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy. While the primary focus of this position is education and scholarship, commitment to research activities and service to the College, University, and profession are also expected. The successful candidate will provide functions in teaching, research/scholarly activities, professional development, academic citizenship, and administrative academic service. Candidates with research programs in the area of cancer, therapeutics, neuroscience, cardiovascular, radiation biology, and pharmacology are encouraged to apply. Other research and/or institutional opportunities may be available depending on the candidate's experience and interests. The faculty appointment will be in the Department of the College of Pharmacy. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
