About The Position

The Washington State University (WSU) Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) seeks to fill a full-time continuous career track (clinical sub-track) Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position within the Neurology and Neurosurgery section of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). The successful applicant will provide clinical service within the Neurology/Neurosurgery service while providing clinical and didactic instruction of professional veterinary students, interns, and residents. Opportunities may exist for scholarship/research within the candidate’s area of interest and consistent with the appointed faculty rank and division of effort. Successful applicants should be able to effectively communicate and work collegially and collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree or a related foreign equivalent degree (such as a BVSc).
• Board-eligible in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) (ACVIM) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN), or board-certified, by the date of hire.
• Evidence of progressively higher levels of experience and expertise in the provision of outstanding clinical service, clinical teaching, and/or research/scholarship (for Associate Professor rank).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service within the Neurology/Neurosurgery service.
• Provide clinical and didactic instruction of professional veterinary students, interns, and residents.
