The Department of Nutrition and Integrated Health Sciences at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) invites applications for a 9-month clinical or tenure-track faculty appointment in the growing undergraduate Rehabilitative Health Sciences (RHSC-BS) program. The RHSC-BS program focuses on human function, disability, and rehabilitation through the perspectives of the health sciences, social sciences, psychology, and related disciplines. The program is distinctive in providing students interested in rehabilitative health professions with opportunities to develop skills in evidence-based practice, person-centered care, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interprofessional collaboration while working with diverse populations and across varied settings. The successful candidate will serve as a full member of the faculty and will participate in all relevant teaching, service, scholarly, and professional responsibilities associated with the appointment. The faculty member will teach a range of undergraduate courses within the RHSC-BS curriculum, which may include interprofessional rehabilitative practice, culture and disability, neurorehabilitation, ethics, clinical reasoning, disabilities across the lifespan, administrative principles, psychosocial aspects of disability, research, and technology in rehabilitation. The candidate may also contribute to undergraduate research and support an active student professional organization. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing department comprised of tenured, tenure-track, clinical-track, and support faculty and staff committed to interprofessional education and training. The Department is housed within the College of Health Sciences, which offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, including Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Social Work, Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Nutrition, Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Allied Health Sciences. The College is part of ETSU’s Academic Health Sciences division, which also includes the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, College of Public Health, and College of Nursing.
