The Section of Endocrinology at the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position for an MD or MD, PhD Endocrinologist. The position is for a candidate with either a strong background in health systems science, population health, implementation or outcomes research, health disparities and/or clinical epidemiology, OR a strong background in basic and/or translational, laboratory-based endocrine research. The role seeks a visionary clinician-investigator to develop a research program that will complement the Section’s traditional strengths in diabetes, metabolism, obesity and/or mineral and bone metabolism. The successful candidate should have a track record of research productivity, established or pending external research funding and academic credentials supporting their appointment to be Assistant or Associate Professor at Yale Medical School. Selected candidates will be provided with research space in a newly opened facility and competitive start-up funds. The Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism currently includes 50 full-time research and clinical faculty and is growing. The Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) is a large network of hospitals and clinics, making it an ideal platform for clinical research at scale. YSM is also affiliated with VA Connecticut Healthcare System, which has a strong track record of research in clinical outcomes and informatics. Experience in research involving artificial intelligence in healthcare would be advantageous.
