About The Position
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, ranked among the top 5 in NIH research funding, is seeking a Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (non-tenure track). This role is based in a vibrant academic practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. The position offers opportunities for teaching in accredited training programs, conducting advanced clinical and translational research, and practicing as a tumor site-specific expert utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. A significant perk is the fully integrated clinical trials program across multiple sites, supported by dedicated research coordinators, allowing for high patient enrollment in clinical trials. Faculty will be actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and other healthcare trainees through lectures, mock oral exams, and review courses. The University of Maryland Medical Center is equipped with advanced radiation therapy technologies including IMRT, SRS, SBRT, GYN brachytherapy, Prostate brachytherapy, Radiopharmaceutical therapy, hyperthermia, proton and GammaPod therapy.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology
- Eligibility for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland
- A medical degree from an accredited institution (domestic or foreign equivalent)

Responsibilities
- Teaching in accredited training programs
