JOB SUMMARY The College of Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology (CAFST) invited applications for an energetic and student-focused faculty member with expertise in Veterinary Technology for a 10-month tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Technology pending previous experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Veterinary Technology, mentoring students and supporting programmatic activities that strengthen the academic and experiential learning environment of the department. Student mentorship and advisement are central to the position. In addition to providing academic advising, the faculty members will guide and support the Veterinary Technology club, collaborate and assist with Research Farm and Cooperative Extension animal operations and participate in relevant university and community service activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in a focused program of scholarly activity resulting in peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations and collaborative research opportunities. Participation in professional development, clinical engagement and service to the community is expected. Specific teaching assignments will be assigned by the chair of the department. Specific teaching assignments will be determined by the Department Chair based on departmental needs.
