About The Position

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of post-MSW practice experience
  • Evidence of teaching experience in Higher Education
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness with students of various learning styles
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Currently possess or ability to obtain Minnesota State social work licensure by date of appointment
  • Must be able to teach online and in person
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment
  • Employees must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Social Work (DSW) or PhD in Social Work or related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with social justice activities to enhance already established program focus
  • Demonstrated ability to model social work professional values and ethics, and to work effectively with colleagues
  • Knowledge of and experience in direct practice, specifically with individuals, groups, families, organizations and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop research agenda
  • Evidence of effective provision of both clinical and non-clinical content in the areas of individuals, families and groups
  • Evidence of effective community and organizational engagement
