About The Position

Creighton University is seeking a full-time (12 month) faculty member for its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is part of the clinical education team and contributes to the program's mission of advancing the profession through education, research, and service within the Jesuit tradition. The DPT program is nationally ranked and supports residencies, a clinical practice, and diverse research agendas. The ideal candidate will share a passion for innovative PT education, collaboration, and Jesuit values. The role involves teaching in the DPT curriculum, serving as a Clinical Education Advisor, and performing core faculty responsibilities including scholarly activities and service.

Requirements

• Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska.
• Clinical doctorate in physical therapy.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical education, academic teaching and/or curriculum development in a physical therapy program.
• Preferred specialty certification.
• Successful completion of, at a minimum, APTA’s Level 1 Credentialed Clinical Instructor program.
• Effective communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the DPT curriculum in areas of department need that align with experience/expertise, as agreed upon with the Program Chair, DPT Program.
• Serve as a Clinical Education Advisor for a portion of each cohort of students as part of the Clinical Education Team, including 4 Professional Practice courses in clinical education.
• Communicate effectively with the Clinical Education Team both in Omaha and Phoenix to ensure optimal learning experiences in the clinical setting for students.
• Perform core faculty responsibilities to include teaching, scholarly activities, and service.
• Maintain scholarly activity.
• Engage in clinical practice hours as negotiated with the Program Chair, DPT Program.
