Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance
About The Position
Oral Roberts University’s Fenimore & Fisher College of Business is seeking a full-time Finance faculty member. The College of Business is accredited by ACBSP and offers nine undergraduate majors and an MBA program. Courses must be taught on the Oral Roberts University campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate Finance courses. The role calls for excellence in teaching and professionalism, a strong fit with ORU, and research in the field. Instruction should integrate technology and engage industry in the classroom. The faculty member must serve on university committees and attend chapel services. A Spirit-Empowered Christian commitment and compatibility with the university’s honor code of conduct are essential.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Finance; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Full-time teaching experience; a minimum of three years is recommended.
- Industry experience; a minimum of three years is recommended.
- Some level of scholarship, including presentations and publications, is expected.
- Spirit-Empowered Christian commitment and compatibility with the university’s honor code of conduct.
- Excellence in teaching and professionalism, and a strong fit with ORU.
Nice To Haves
- Finance certifications such as CFP, CFA, or CKA are preferred.
- Experience teaching in a CFP Board-approved certification program is preferred.
- A Ph.D. in Finance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance.
- Conduct research in the field and demonstrate scholarship through presentations and publications.
