Savannah State University’s Department of Biology invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate professor level in animal genetics. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses associated with the Bachelors of Science in Biology; developing and teaching advanced-level courses in mammalian genetics; and contributing to interdisciplinary offerings. Mentor undergraduate students and sustain a vibrant research program that actively engages undergraduate students. The successful applicant will also participate in the growth and advancement of programs in Biology, including the development of a Master’s degree program in Biology. Undergraduate advisement required. May be required to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description.
