About The Position

Barry University’s College of Health Promotions and Medical Sciences (CHPMS) is seeking a dynamic and innovative full-time, 12-month faculty member to join its interdisciplinary group of healthcare experts. The position is dedicated to the graduate-level Physician Assistant program (Master of Clinical Medical Sciences). The faculty member will teach graduate-level courses, mentor and advise students, engage in program, college, and university service, and participate in scholarship.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program or accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical program.
• Current, unrestricted Florida licensure as a PA, medical physician, or osteopathic physician, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current NCCPA or physician board certification, or eligibility.
• Master’s degree required.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

• An earned doctorate in a health-related field or in education.
• Prior faculty experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level courses in the physician assistant program.
• Provide student mentorship and advising, including master’s theses and projects.
• Engage in Program, College, and University service.
• Engage in scholarship.
