About The Position

Indiana University School of Medicine ( IUSM )–Bloomington (https://medicine.iu.edu/bloomington) invites applications for a 12-month, tenure-track position in Cancer Biology. We seek applicants in all areas of Cancer Biology who are using innovative approaches to investigate molecular mechanisms underpinning cancer and/or focusing on therapeutic development. A new faculty member will join a collaborative atmosphere with existing strengths in cancer stem cells, the tumor microenvironment, cancer epigenetics, and the regulation of gene expression within various cancer models including breast, ovarian, prostate and colon cancers. The applicant will be joining a dynamic team of basic and translational researchers on the IU School of Medicine Bloomington campus. This group maintains close connections with the clinical research teams at IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center ( IUSCCC ) in Indianapolis (https://cancer.iu.edu/) as well as with the Bloomington-based faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry). The successful candidate will enjoy recently renovated laboratory space with outstanding core facilities (genomics, microscopy/imaging, major animal facilities, chemical biology and others), and access to a large cancer tissue and data repository.
