About The Position

The Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant/associate/full professor level. Applicants should have a strong record of an independent research program in the general area of pharmaceutics, including, but not limited to, drug delivery, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (pharmacometrics) or drug metabolism. The demonstration of or potential for developing an externally funded research program is essential. Faculty hires will also participate in the professional and graduate instructional efforts of the College. Areas of specialization within pharmaceutics should complement the interests of the department and the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology. The position will be located at the Gainesville or Orlando Campus of the University of Florida.

Requirements

• PhD and at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutics and/or PharmD with fellowship or with equivalent at least 2 years of experience.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills.
• Strong research and publication record in the field of interest.
• Eligibility to work in the US.
• FDLE Criminal Background Check required.

Nice To Haves

• PhD Degree and/or postdoctoral and/or academic experience in pharmaceutics.
• Extramurally-funded research program and proven track record of publication.
• Soft skills as well as clear written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the professional and graduate instructional efforts of the College.
• Conduct independent research in pharmaceutics, including drug delivery, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, or drug metabolism.
• Develop an externally funded research program.
• Train and mentor PharmD students, PhD students, and post-doctoral research associates.
