About The Position

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position. Applications are welcome for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in all areas of chemical and biomolecular engineering. Areas of particular interest include AI/ML, biomolecular engineering, chemical separations, clean energy and sustainability, and process systems engineering. Faculty members are expected to initiate and sustain a vigorous research program, teach undergraduate and graduate students, and support the administrative and governance functions of the department, the university, and the profession through service on committees, as appropriate. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS) at the University of Illinois, where curiosity drives impact. Requirements

An earned Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, applied math, biotechnology, chemical technology, or a related field with a distinguished academic record
Applicants at the assistant professor level must have a promising research agenda and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor level must demonstrate a record of research, teaching, and service indicative of an Associate or Full Professor.
