Assistant/Associate Clinical Track Professor in Anatomic Pathology
About The Position
The Department of Pathobiological Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison, is seeking candidates for a clinical-track anatomic pathology faculty position. There is a 60% expected effort for clinical diagnostic biopsy and necropsy service/clinical teaching, with variable percentage distributions for teaching pre-clinical veterinary students, collaborative research, and academic service responsibilities. The selected individual will participate heavily in the training of anatomic pathology residents and 4th year rotations students. They will also contribute to the professional student instructional program in the discipline-integrated OnWard curriculum. Involvement may include organizing or facilitating active learning exercises, laboratory exercises, and asynchronous didactic materials, including optional development of focused elective courses. Teaching is centered on collaborative efforts between basic scientists and veterinary clinicians of multiple disciplines. The individual also may contribute to other courses in the veterinary, undergraduate, or graduate student curricula. The position is open for applicants at the assistant and associate professors’ levels.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent
- ACVP or ECVP board certification
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin
- Residency experience in diagnostic anatomic pathology
Nice To Haves
- Two years of post-residency experience in diagnostic pathology
- Research experience and/or a PhD
- Demonstrated strong interest and experience in training pathology residents
- MS, PhD, or double board certification
