About The Position

McMenamins Bagdad Theater & Pub is hiring an Assistant-Assistant Manager (AAM). McMenamins is a family-owned company operating in Oregon and Washington, known for its handcrafted beverages (beer, wine, cider, spirits, coffee) and pub fare. Their locations vary from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, with a focus on community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. McMenamins offers both seasonal and long-term career opportunities and values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The AAM's primary role is to assist the Pub Manager in all pub operations. This includes performing non-management duties, handling opening and closing procedures, and acting as the host to ensure smooth shift operations. The AAM will also work both indoors and outdoors seasonally, with a strong emphasis on maintaining excellent customer relations. Additional duties involve assigning sections to servers, serving guests, taking food and beverage orders, delivering products, collecting payments, cashiering, using a point-of-sale system, setting up and breaking down service areas, regulating labor, overseeing side work, performing cleaning duties, and training staff. Administrative tasks as assigned by the manager are also part of the role. The AAM must effectively handle personnel and customer service issues, provide excellent customer service to meet needs and requests, and troubleshoot problems during shifts, reporting any issues to the Head Manager and District Manager. This position can be physically demanding and requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The AAM must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
