About The Position

Prof. Sébastien Jodoin is seeking to recruit two research assistants to work part-time during the 2026-2027 academic year. The research assistants will conduct legal and policy research, collect and analyze data, co-author research publications, provide editing and formatting assistance, and develop materials for policymakers and community members. They may also be invited to participate in, and present research, at conferences and meetings held in Canada or abroad. The research assistants will be assigned to work on an applied research project addressing the diffusion and impact of rights-based climate litigation or the impacts of climate change for people with disabilities in the Montreal metropolitan region.

Requirements

  • Excellent legal analysis and writing skills, in both English and French
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong initiative and sound judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • For one position: fluency in French and training and experience in qualitative research methods, particularly coding interviews or other qualitative data, is required.
  • For the other position: training and experience in quantitative research methods is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of or prior experience in disability, health, climate adaptation, or environmental justice
  • For one position: experience with survey research is an asset.

Benefits
