About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Archery Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The coach is responsible for developing a program for students, the school, and the community, while ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted on time. The role involves monitoring student academics, adhering to regulations and guidelines, and supervising all students under their charge. The coach must follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety, work with the athletic director on assistant appointments and evaluations, and conform to athletic department policies for equipment and supplies. Responsibilities include planning and supervising practice sessions, handling injuries according to activities policies, and reporting serious injuries immediately to parents and the athletic director. The coach is expected to stay current with coaching philosophies and trends, maintain open communication with administration, staff, coaches, players, and parents, and report all results to local media.

Requirements

  • Missouri State Teaching Certificate (Head Coach)
  • Substitute Certificate (Assistant Coach)

Responsibilities

  • Develop a program for the students, school and community.

  • Monitor academics, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Supervise all students under your control.
  • Follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety.
  • Work with the athletic director in the appointment and evaluation of assistants.
  • Conform to athletic department policy in ordering equipment and supplies and turning in an end of the year inventory list.
  • Plan and supervise all practice sessions.
  • Conform to activities policies in handling injuries; report all serious injuries immediately to the parents and athletic director.
  • Stay up to date in current coaching philosophies and trends.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with administration, staff members, coaches, players and parents, emphasizing the proper chain of command.
  • Report all results to the area newspapers, radio and television stations.
