About The Position

RAC Adjustments, Inc. is seeking a high-quality individual to join their team in the Rockford, IL area as an Assistant Appraisal Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing physical damage to vehicles, producing written reports, and reviewing estimates written by insurance material damage appraisers. This role also involves working with the management team on marketing ventures, providing customer service, and traveling to provide backfill for vacation coverages. Requirements

Driving to loss locations is required; must hold valid driver's license and have clean driving record
Ability to occasionally work during non-standard business hours
Travel required when necessary; including overnight stays
Strong organizational and clear communication skills
Ability to manage your own workload and schedule
5 years vehicle estimating experience; agricultural and specialty equipment preferred
Management of direct reports and their workloads

Management experience is a plus
Agricultural and specialty equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately assess physical damage to vehicles and promptly produce written report
Use of software programs such as CCC, JD Power, FileTrac and MS office suite required
Review estimates written by insurance material damage appraisers and provide guidance for revisions
Work with management team on marketing ventures to benefit the company
Provide effective customer service
Travel to provide backfill for vacation coverages as necessary
