Assistant Analyst, Cross-Functional

Martin & Company
•$50,000 - $60,000

About The Position

As an Assistant Analyst working cross-functionally across our organization, you'll get something most early-career roles don't offer: a view of the whole business. Instead of starting in one department, you'll work across our delivery teams, including State Filings, Product Development, Regulatory Compliance, Actuarial, and Data Analytics, as well as our professional services and client-facing teams. You'll provide hands-on project and administrative support while you learn how an insurance consulting firm serves its clients from start to finish. This role is built for growth. As you build skills and discover where you excel and what interests you most, you'll have the opportunity to take on more substantive work in those areas. Over time, that can lead to a long-term role in the discipline that fits you best. No prior insurance experience is required; just curiosity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, part-time roles, or relevant coursework welcome.
  • Interest in insurance, finance, regulation, analytics, or consulting, and a genuine curiosity about how businesses work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle requests from multiple teams and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Adaptability and comfort moving between different teams, tasks, and types of work.
  • A proactive, coachable mindset: you ask good questions, take feedback well, and look for ways to contribute.
  • Dependability and discretion in handling confidential client and company information.
