About The Position

The Assistant Agriculture Director is responsible for assisting and executing the company’s agricultural strategy to ensure a consistent, high-quality supply of raw produce in support of McCall Farms’ processing operations. This role supports the overseeing of grower partnerships, crop planning, and field operations, aligning agricultural production with plant capacity, pack schedules, and overall business objectives. This position plays a critical leadership role in building and maintaining strong relationships with growers, suppliers, research partners, and logistics providers to ensure continuity of supply, product quality, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Agriculture Director collaborates cross-functionally with plant operations, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize yield, manage risk, and support long-term sourcing strategies. Key responsibilities include assisting with the directing of crop planning and acreage allocation, monitoring field performance and harvest timing, and ensuring compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards. This role is also responsible for identifying opportunities to improve agricultural productivity, reduce costs, and enhance supply reliability through data-driven decision-making, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Assistant Agriculture Director serves as a strategic partner to operations leadership, ensuring agricultural programs are aligned with production demands while supporting the company’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
