About The Position

The Assistant Administrative II is an experienced individual contributor role within Tyson Foods’ Administrative job family, providing broad, operationally critical administrative support to the Senior Vice President of Pork and the extended Pork leadership organization. The role is responsible for enabling leadership effectiveness and organizational coordination across a large, matrixed business by managing complex administrative activities, ensuring consistency in execution, and supporting recurring and ad hoc business priorities. This role operates with moderate autonomy and professional judgment, applying established administrative practices while adapting to changing business needs. The Assistant Administrative II regularly supports multiple leaders and teams, requiring the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage sensitive information, and coordinate across functions within the Pork organization. Core contributions are operational in nature but have direct impact on leadership efficiency, communication flow, and meeting cadence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 plus years of experience.
  • Standard computer skills; Microsoft Office emphasis on Outlook Access Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills to appropriately handle inquiries, convey information and coordinate with multiple leaders and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work activities, set priorities and coordinate with multiple stakeholders while supporting leadership and team needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience supporting senior-level leaders and/or multiple teams in a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Prefer proficiency using business tools and systems to support correspondence, meeting coordination, and preparation of presentations and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, edits, and formats correspondence, memoranda, reports, and executive‑level presentations.
  • Assembles PowerPoint materials and organizes supporting documentation for leadership and sales meetings.
  • Compiles data and generates standard and ad hoc reports to support business discussions and planning.
  • Coordinates scheduling, logistics, agendas, and meeting minutes for leadership, sales, and cross‑functional meetings, including quarterly and annual sales meetings.
  • Organizes and assembles meeting materials to ensure leaders and teams are aligned and prepared.
  • Manages travel reservations, training coordination, expense reporting, mail distribution, shipping (UPS/FedEx), and supply ordering.
  • Maintains both general and confidential files in accordance with Tyson policies and business needs.
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders by managing phone inquiries, routing requests, greeting visitors, and supporting day‑to‑day office operations.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Work activities are varied and require the use of judgment to set priorities, coordinate with others, and evaluate results.
  • Assignments are defined, but the approach to execution is typically determined in coordination with leadership and team members.
