About The Position

The assistant account administrator is responsible for sales support operations, including providing customer service, resolving bill/invoicing inquiries, reporting as well as other administrative duties. Work is performed in a fast-paced environment. This position is onsite in the Manhattan office for approximately 20 hours a week.

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to acquire and maintain a State of Kansas Insurance Agent's license within 90 days of employment and must maintain license through employment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Strong excel experience necessary for data analytics
  • Excellent organizational skills and professionalism
  • Exceptionally high level of attention to detail; extremely well-organized
  • Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast -paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; an engaging personality in person and on the phone

  • One year work experience in sales coordination, office administration, and/or a business operations position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with health insurance or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas experience is preferred.
  • Previous customer-oriented experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Confidently respond to walk in customers, colleagues, clients, and brokers requests in a timely manner either in person or by email, phone, or written correspondence.
  • Provide accurate business analytics support to Sales Management.
  • Researches and resolves billing, invoicing, group claims and benefit inquiries.
  • Prepares group information packets.
  • Prepares ad-hoc Excel reports and analysis as required via various systems.
  • Cover and perform duties for staff as needed &/or during high periods of workload.
  • Responsible for opening and closing office each business day and light office maintenance and cleaning
  • Required to sign a non-compete agreement
  • Travel may be required
  • Can require lifting, bending, and loading supplies and small office equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Phone usage up to 20% of the day and keyboard use up to 80% of the day
  • Must comply with corporate compliance program
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function as defined by policy
  • Must comply with and implement corporate information security policies, standards, and guidelines relative to access control
  • Must follow URAC standards as required for essential job functions
