The Assets Protection (AP) teams function to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud to ensure product availability for guests. They also build relationships inside and outside of Target, including with store leaders and public safety officials, such as law enforcement. The role of an Assets Protection Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of leading a security culture, implementing daily/weekly Assets Protection workload priorities, responding to external and internal theft incidents, implementing strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, apprehending individuals attempting to cause a loss, partnering with and educating store business leaders on operational shortage priorities, and leading a team of hourly team members, including leveraging skills in interviewing, developing, evaluating, and retaining talent.
