Provides supervision and development for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting clear expectations. Controls unexplained loss of merchandise and improves profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals. Builds accountability for policies and procedures, measures adherence to loss prevention policies, and reviews inventory variances. Conducts operational and pre-inventory reviews, gathers data, and monitors deficiency trends. Identifies improvement opportunities and works with managers and associates to implement corrections. Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes. Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies and criminal activities. Gathers evidence, takes statements, writes case reports, and provides court testimony. Partners with other investigative entities. Monitors safety and risk controls by ensuring an effective safety program, supervising safety team members, and identifying accident trends to implement solutions. Observes workplace practices and provides training on accident prevention. Communicates plans to minimize accidents and oversees safety reviews. Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures. Identifies gaps in expectations versus training and determines training needs. Manages claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed, and processes claims for damaged, defective, returned, or liquidated items, as well as merchandise deliveries. Maintains necessary documentation and reporting. Coordinates and completes job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, and demonstrating adaptability. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
