The Loss Prevention Officer will oversee, observe, and supervise employees entering and exiting the building. They will walk through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits. The role involves continually monitoring the hazard materials storeroom and cleaning up spills. The officer will oversee and supervise the disposition of damaged items, load items onto push carts, and move them to a safe location. They will walk throughout the facility and conduct general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts. This role requires the use of computers and office equipment. The officer must be able to read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and monitor CCTV. They will also provide trainings to other employees and perform housekeeping duties, keeping floors clean and work areas neat and clean.

Requirements

Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CCTV preferred.
Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
