Reporting directly to the Director of Asset Protection, the Asset Protection Market Manager is responsible for executing and supporting Asset Protection, safety, and risk mitigation efforts across Moncler’s New York market. While primarily based at the 5th Avenue flagship, this role supports multiple locations across New York City and Long Island, ensuring a consistent and elevated approach to safe, security, and loss prevention. This role operates with a high degree of ownership across the market while maintaining close alignment with Asset Protection leadership, partnering to identify risks, lead investigations, and implement strategies that protect the business and support a best-in-class client experience. The position requires a strong in-store presence across locations and flexibility to support business needs, including weekends and peak retail periods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Asset Protection experience, preferably within a global luxury or high-volume retail environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading investigations and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Client-centric mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Strong professional presence with excellent influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, demonstrating sound judgment, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong training, coaching, and de-escalation skills, with the ability to drive behavior change and reinforce standards.
  • Technologically proficient, with experience using reporting tools and systems to support decision-making.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods within a retail environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular on-site presence with frequent movement between multiple store locations within the New York market.
  • Availability to work a minimum of two full weekend shifts per month, based on business needs and operational priorities.
  • During peak retail periods, particularly from Thanksgiving through year-end, increased weekend coverage is required, including the majority of weekends and Thanksgiving weekend (Friday through Sunday), with limited exceptions based on business needs.
  • Availability to support additional peak retail periods as required.
  • Ability to move throughout retail environments, including navigating sales floors, stockrooms, stairs, and back-of-house areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: LPC, LPQ, CFI, or Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ).
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Asset Protection strategies across the New York market in alignment with company direction and guidance from the Director of Asset Protection.
  • Support shrink reduction initiatives through data analysis, trend identification, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Conduct Asset Protection audits across market locations, providing actionable insights and coaching to store leadership to strengthen compliance and execution.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Asset Protection programs, policies, and procedures across all supported stores.
  • Support Asset Protection planning for events, new store openings, relocations, and renovations.
  • Lead investigations related to internal and external theft, fraud, and policy violations across the New York market, in partnership with Asset Protection leadership and Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, case management, and alignment on outcomes related to employee investigations.
  • Utilize reporting tools (POS exception reporting, cash variance, chargebacks) to identify suspicious activity and operational risks.
  • Maintain thorough and legally sound documentation to support internal actions and, when applicable, external prosecution.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local and federal law enforcement, mall security, and external Asset Protection networks.
  • Support and oversee safety and physical security programs across all locations within the New York market, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Identify and assess safety risks, partnering with store leadership to implement preventative measures and corrective action plans.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and safety incidents, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up to prevent recurrence.
  • Support risk management processes, including claims documentation and reporting.
  • Reinforce awareness and preparedness around safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Deliver and support Asset Protection and safety training programs for store teams and leadership across the market.
  • Partner with store leadership to build accountability and capability in loss prevention and safety practices.
  • Provide ongoing coaching based on audit findings, incident trends, and business needs.
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires to ensure strong understanding of Asset Protection standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to security services, ensuring appropriate coverage across the market in alignment with operational needs and budget guidelines.
  • Oversee the creation and management of purchase orders for vendor services, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Partner with the Director of Asset Protection to support budget tracking and invoice management.
  • Ensure continuity of service and operational consistency across all external partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted partner to Store Directors, Store Managers, and field leadership, influencing decisions related to risk, safety, and compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Human Resources to drive aligned business outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement across the market.
  • Lead by example, upholding the highest standards of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful work environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain a high standard of professionalism and client service.
  • Support broader team and business objectives as needed.
